To Hold the Bridge is a collection of short stories by Australian author Garth Nix.
To Hold the Bridge was an excellent novella, that I wish was a lot longer. I loved returning, even if it was only briefly, to the world of the Old Kingdom.
I gave this book 3.5 stars on Goodreads, as although there were quite a few short stories in it that I enjoyed, I had a hard time focusing and concentrating on the others. I know I made this blog about only “Brilliant Books”, and 3.5 stars is hardly brilliant, but I liked the other short stories so much that I wanted to feature it anyhow.
The other stories I really enjoyed include: Vampire Weather, Holly and Iron, The Curious Case of the Moondawn Daffodils Murder: As Experienced by Sir Magnus Holmes and Almost- Doctor Susan Shrike, the stories of the Standing Up: Coming-of- Age Stories, and Infestation.
