The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue is one of the most wonderful books that I have read this year. It was a beautiful book to read. The kind that is a slow burn, gentle and romantic and flowing smoothly through the story.

I originally ordered the Forbidden Planet edition (on the right) but with the pandemic it was delayed shipping here and I just couldn’t wait so I got a copy from my local bookstore (the one on the left).

The story follows Adeline (Addie) a woman forgotten by the world, as she navigates life as a faceless being, destined to be forgotten as soon as you turn away from her.
She is essentially a ghost and watches as the world continues on without her doomed to immortality by a deal that she made with the devil, Luc, one summer night on the eve of her wedding.

Eventually Addie finds herself in present day New York city where she meets a young man named Henry, and he utters three words that she thought she would never hear; “I remember you”.
Now I really need to read this book!!!
